In memory of Jewish life in Fulda
Young people in grade 10 at Fulda schools have the opportunity to take part in the project “Fulda-Auschwitz” “Jewish Life in Fulda”, which extends over the entire school year. Under the direction of Anja Listmann, Jewish life in Fulda is researched, with a focus on National Socialism and the Holocaust. Finally, each project group goes to a memorial site (Auschwitz Memorial, Theresienstadt Memorial) to spend a week finding out more about the fate of Jewish people from the city and district of Fulda and to commemorate those who were murdered.
Another goal of the project work is to discover Jewish history in Fulda and memorial sites and to pass on what we have learned.
- What can we do to make the past visible?
- How can we give a name to the families who once lived in Fulda until their deportation or forced emigration?
- How can we share our experience with others?
This website is one result and is dedicated to all the Jewish families and individuals who once lived in Fulda.
